Bruce Rossmeyer was a Harley Davidson Dealer in Daytona Beach, FL.  I was a Commander with the Daytona Beach Police Department.  I had dealt with him and his family for many years over many issues as I was also a Daytona PD motor  cop.  Bruce was a good person who was going all the time.  He was killed in a motorcycle crash the past few days.  He was out going to the Sturgis motorcycle event.  He had business out there.  He liked to be involved in business.

As I found out about his death from my buddy, Jody,… I thought about a scripture in James 4:13-15 where a business man wants to go to a city and do some business and the writer of James says….Look.. you do not know what will happen tomorrow…. it goes on to say that our lives….mine, yours… Bruce Rossmeyer’s is like a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.  That is what our life is like.

Life is a mist.  A vapor.  It seems like the folks that are larger than life…. the Bruce Rossmeyers… the Michael Jacksons…are large….are life……but are finite.  We all are.  Our lives are like a mist.  What is it today that you are planning on that you are just certain on…..and maybe you have neglected to say something that needed to be said to a family member, that needs to be forgiven, that needs to be repaid?  Better jump on it… is a mist.
