Simple. Romans 13 says that the governing authorities are put there by God, been instituted by God.
That authority would be Obama.
Ok, so get over it if you did not vote for him. I did not either. Obama will now have a job to do…..and a big one……..but we do too. In 1 Timothy 2: 1-3, Paul is telling his good friend Timothy that prayers, supplications, intercessions and thanksgivings be made to all men in high positions that we would lead a peaceable and godly life. So we have a job too…..a big one…..to pray for those in high positions.
This is what God’s word is instructing us to do….so don’t hang around and complain at the water cooler. Get to what God wants us to do for Obama. Pray, intercede, and give thanks.

Bro. Louie,
I agree. We have no time to start bellyaching since Obama has been elected president. We need to pray for this man…pray for his salvation and that Jesus gets hold of his heart. Christians also need to pray for all aspects of authority and people in authority in this great nation of ours. Prayer without ceasing is what is called for. May God bless America and may God call the heart of Barak Obama.

Amen Pastor Louie! Pray for our leaders. It’s biblical. 🙂
Peace.

Tony and Karen,
Thanks. I got a post on the McCain or Obama blog that a person disagrees. I just feel compelled to pray for Obama like I did for Bush. I also pray that Osama Bin Laden’s heart is changed. God is big enough to do it with Bin Laden or Hitler. God gives us choice. Bless you guys.
